Pantai Penyabong, Johor
Pantai Penyabong is a promontory with a beach in Endau, north of Mersing. It has great sceneries here. On the way, you pass through Kampung Penyabong, the village, a fishing village.
The beach of Pantai Penyabong was originally known as Pantai Pasir Lanun (Pirate's Sand), on account of beliefs that pirates used to hide their loot in the sand. It was an ideal spot to come to shore and get fresh water. Today there are a number of resorts operating at Pantai Penyabong, giving you the opportunity to spend the night.
Getting there
Pantai Penyabong is 36 km from Mersing. Take Route 36 from Mersing all the way to Endau town. There, make a right turn at the junction to State Route J182, and go all the way to the end, passing the villages fronting the sea on your left.
