Pekan Air Panas, Johor
Pekan Air Panas, also known as Kampung Tenang, is a small village in the Segamat District of Johor. It is renowned within the district for its hot springs. It also has an Orang Asli settlement and longan farms. like Bekok and also has mata kucing farms. Mata kucing (aka longan) is a small lychee-like local fruit with brown skin.
In addition to the name Pekan Air Panas, the place is also known as Kampung Tenang and as Bukit. The name Tenang was given by one of the first settlers there, Tuan Haji Muhammad Arifin, who found the place to be serene, or "tenang" in Malay. He named it Kampung Tenang.
