About Petroleum Museum

Petroleum Museum, or Muzium Petroleum, is a museum in Miri, Sarawak. It is located on Canada Hill facing the Grand Old Lady, the first oil well in the city. The Petroleum Museum is open every day except Mondays and the first day of public holidays. Opening hours are from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Admission is free.

The Petroleum Museum recalls the history of the petroleum industry in Miri. From one of the galleries, there is a wall of windows affording a splendid view of Miri below.
