Pulau Jerejak Middle Section, Penang
The middle section of Pulau Jerejak is where the Jerejak Resort is now located. The west coast of it was once the infamous leprocy camp, where sufferers of that deforming diseases were kept away from society. Today, this area has been totoally transformed with a swimming pool, and recreational sports. On the east coast is the shipyard that continues to function today.
You can get a good view of the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone from the west coast of Pulau Jerejak. From the east coast, you can see Pulau Gedung and Pulau Aman as well as mainland Seberang Perai in the distance.
