Pulau Jerejak Southern Shore, Penang
The southern coast of Pulau Jerejak is where the quarantine centre and tuberculosis hospital were located. Some of the structures and buildings of the hospital can still be seen standing forlornly beside the sea. There is also a memorial to the Russian soldiers who were killed in a surprise attack by a German submarine off the coast of Penang in 1944.
