Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque of TTI
Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque of Taman Tamadun Islam, Kuala Terengganu, is a replica of an Islamic monument in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. It is one of the biggest tourist attractions of Brunei. The mosque was named after Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the 28th Sultan of Brunei. It was built in 1958 in a modern interpretation of Islamic architecture.
The Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque was built in a pond or artificial lagoon within the Brunei River, taking advantage of the reflection to enhance its beauty. The mosque has a single marble minaret and a golden dome. A bridge links it to Kampong Ayer while another bridge connects to a replica of a 16th century royal barge.
