About Sutera Harbour

Sutera Harbour is a locality on the waterfront of Kota Kinabalu. As with many of the places in modern Kota Kinabalu, Sutera Harbour is another massive land reclamation project that extended the shore outwards. The land reclamation of Sutera Harbour equals the size of the entire downtown of Kota Kinabalu. On this newly created land sprout a 27-hold gold course designed by Graham Marsh, called the Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club. Then there's the Sutera Harbour Marina & Yacht Club, another watering hole for the rich and famous.

There are two hotels at Sutera Harbour, collectively forming the Sutera Harbour Resort. They are the opulent 456-room Magellan Sutera and 500-room Pacific Sutera. The low-rise Magellan Sutera has a garden setting while the Pacific Sutera has a 12-storey block. Both hotels have rooms facing the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park. Approach to Sutera Harbour is via the Sutera Harbour Boulevard to the Coastal Highway going north to downtown Kota Kinabalu, and Jalan Sembulan going south to the Jalan Penampang Bypass.
