Sutera Semai Centre is a silk weaving centre in the village of Chendering, about 6 km to the south of Kuala Terengganu. Visitors to this centre get to watch the various stages of silk manufacturing.

After the silk fabric has been produced, it is turned into batik and songket. The art of batik painting and batik printing are demonstrated here, showing the application of wax and layers of dyes.

Songket weaving is another fabric craft showcased at Sutera Semai Centre. The silk fabric is woven with gold and silver threads befitting a royal gala or Malay wedding.
