Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, or Titiwangsa Recreational Park, is a 46-hectare recreational park on the northeastern park of Kuala Lumpur. I photographed it for AsiaExplorers as part of the documentation of sights in Kuala Lumpur.
Located on Jalan Kuantan off Jalan Tun Razak, Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, as its name suggests, has a lake in the middle, one of the biggest in Kuala Lumpur no less. This placid lake provides a good spot to reflect and find some solitude in the otherwise urban environment of Kuala Lumpur. The lakeside hedges are well trimmed to form a formal garden. There are facilities for jogging, workout stations and a restaurant. Also available are facilities for canoeing and aqua biking.

Horse riding is available at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa every Saturday and Sunday from 9am-12pm and 3pm-6pm. A trainer is at hand to walk the horse with the rider. Horse drawn carriage rides are also available for groups of 4-5 persons. This ride takes visitors on a quick tour around the recreational park.
Within the vicinity of Taman Tasik Titiwangsa is the national theatre, the Istana Budaya. Also visible from the lake are the Petronas Twin Towers.
