Wakaf Bharu is a town in the district of Tumpat in Kelantan. It is located on the western bank of the Kelantan River directly across from Kota Bharu. The Sultan Yahya Petra Bridge links Wakaf Bharu with Kota Bharu across the river.

The name Wakaf Bharu means "new endowment". Although more than 90 percent of the people in Wakaf Bharu are Malays, it also has a church. There is also a train station at Wakaf Bharu for the Tumpat-Gemas Railway line.
