Warta Kinta Newspaper, Ipoh
This rather run-down row of shophouses along Jalan Datoh in Ipoh used to be the premises of Warta Kinta, a Malay-language newspaper that was published in Ipoh in the early part of the 20th century. The newspaper, originally printed in Jawi, was the first Malay-language newspaper within the Federated Malay States.
The row of shophouses along Jalan Datoh was also occupied by the Persatuan Melayu Perak as well as several other Malay organisations.
