Malaysia celebrates a plethora of public holidays that reflect its multi-cultural, multi-racial, multi-religion mix. Some public holidays are observed nation-wide while others are state-wide. The following are national public holidays for 2007:
  • New Year Day: Monday, 1 January 2007
  • Maal Hijrah (Awal Muharram): Saturday 20th January 2007
  • Chinese New Year: Sunday 18th & Monday 19th February 2007
  • Maulidur Rasul (Birthday of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W): Saturday 31st March 2007
  • Eid Al-Adha (Hari Raya Qurban): Tuesday 11th April 2006 (subject to change)
  • Labour Day: Tuesday 1st May 2007
  • Wesak Day: Tuesday 1st May 2007
  • Birthday Celebration of SPB Yang di Pertuan Agong (King's Birthday): Saturday 2nd June 2007
  • National Day: Friday 31st August 2007
  • Eid Al-Fitr (Hari Raya Puasa): Saturday 13th October - Sunday 14th October 2007 (subject to change)
  • Deepavali: Thursday 8th November 2007 (subject to change)
  • Eid Al-Adha (Hari Raya Qurban): Thursday 20th December - Friday 21st December 2007 (subject to change)
  • Christmas: Tuesday 25th December 2007
