Kagbeni Travel Guide, Nepal

Kagbeni is a small village in Mustang district, Nepal. Located by the banks of the Kali Gandaki River in Upper Mustang, within the Annapurna Conservation Area, Kagbeni is on the mountain trail between Jomsom to Muktinath. It has a population of around 1,200 people living in 260 households.
Kagbeni is surrounded by a windswept landscape of barren mountains. The abodes here are mostly mud houses that cling to the ground. Most of the villagers are farmers growing corn, wheat and lentils.

Going to Kagbeni
Visitors reach Kagbeni on foot on the mountain trail from Jomsom. The village does not have any vehicular transport.
