Adam Road, Singapore

Adam Road (see map) is a major road in the Central Region of Singapore. It runs from the interchange with Dunearn Road in the south to Lornie Road in the north. Along the way it forms another interchange with the Pan Island Expressway.
Among the roads branching off from Adam Road include Adam Park, Arcadia Road and Adam Drive, all on the west side, and Camden Park, Chee Hoon Avenue and Dunearn Close on the east side. Sights along Adam Road include the Singapore Bible College, Trinity at Adam Church, Adam Road Presbyterian Church, Adam Park Condominium (all on the west side), Japanese Club and Adam Road Food Centre (all on the east side).
Adam Road was named after Frank Adam, the former managing director of Pulau Brani Tin Smelting Works. Adam Park was the site of fierce fighting during World War II, and is remembered today as the Battle of Adam Park. The headquarters of the 1st Battahorn, Cambridgeshire Regiment, is today the club house of the National University of Singapore Society.
