Albert Centre, Singapore

Albert Centre is a complex comprising a market and a food court. Located off Queen Street, Albert Centre was first opened in 1980. It underwent refurbishing in the mid 2008 and reopened in late 2009.

Albert Centre is popular with the locals living in the surrounding areas, due to its big hawker centre offering a large variety of hawker fare. It also gets spillover traffic from New Bugis Street, the Iluma Shopping Mall, Fu Lu Shou Complex and Bugis Junction. From my own experience, the hawker fare at Albert Centre can just be described as "so so", as I have yet to discover anything that I really like.
Separating Albert Centre from Fu Lu Shou Complex is Albert Street. Here, you find the Albert Mall Trishaw Park, where trishaw paddlers congregate.
Getting there
Take the East West Line to the Bugis MRT Station (EW12). Exit the station at Exit C. Cross Victoria Street and continue along Rochor Road until junction with Queen Street. Albert Centre is to the left of Fu Lu Shou Complex.
