Anson Road (map) is a major road in the Central Business District of Singapore. It begins at the junction with Scotts Green Road at the Tanjong Pagar Terminal of the Singapore Harbour, and runs parallel to Shenton Way, to end at the intersection with Maxwell Road, from where it continues as Robinson Road. It forms an intersections with Keppel Road, and junctions with Enggor Street, Palmer Road, Parsi Road and Prince Edward Road. For much of the way, Anson Road is a four-lane one-way street in the northeast direction.

Anson Road was named after Major General Archibald Anson, who served as Acting Governor of the Straits Settlements, during the interim period between governors in 1877. Anson Road in Penang was also named after him.

It helped me a lot in broadening my knowledge of the streets, and made it more fun when I explored and get to know them personally.
