Caldecott MRT Station (CC17), Singapore
Caldecott MRT Station (CC17) is an underground station of the Singapore MRT that went into operation on 8 October 2011 to serve the Circle Line between the Marymount MRT Station (CC16) and the Bukit Brown MRT Station (CC18).
The Bukit Brown MRT Station remained closed when the line was extended to HarbourFront on 8 October 2011. The next operational station after the Marymount station is the Botanic Gardens MRT Station (CC19/DT9). It will also be expanded into an MRT interchange when it is served by the planned 18-station Thomson MRT Line, slated to be operational in 2018.
The Caldecott MRT Station is named after Caldecott Hill, a private housing estate in the Central Region of Singapore. Despite the name, it is actually closer to Toa Payoh Lorong 1.
