Cuppage Road is a minor road in the Orchard Road area. It joins Orchard Road between The Centrepoint and Orchard Point shopping malls.

Cuppage Road was named after William Cuppage (1807-1872), who owned the land in the area. Cuppage served the British government under several roles. He arrived in Singapore as a captain of the 27th Madras Native Infantry. He was a postal clerk and once an acting Postmaster General in 1840. He also served as the Superintendent of Palace as well as the Assistant Resident of Singapore in 1846.

The land in the area was leased by him in 1837 where he began a nutmeg plantation - hence the name of Nutmeg Road nearby. His plantation failed due to disease infecting his nutmeg trees. Nonetheless in the early 1850's he relocated from his home in Hill Street to this area, where he built two houses. He lived in the area until his death in 1872.
