Fountain of Wealth the largest fountain in the world - if water flowing down rather than shooting up can be regarded as a fountain. The Fountain of Wealth is located at the centre of a traffic roundabout within the Suntec City commercial complex in Marina Bay, Singapore. I am documenting the Fountain of Wealth for AsiaExplorers as one of the modern sights in Singapore.

The Fountain of Wealth at Suntec City.

The Fountain of Wealth, and in fact Suntec City as a whole, was constructed in accordance to feng shui principles. Surrounding it are five office blocks, one which is 18 storeys high and the remaining four 45-storeys. These office blocks represent the fingers of a left hand, and the Fountain of Wealth symbolises the ring in the palm of the hand, guaranteeing the retention of wealth.

The Fountain of Wealth is made of bronze. It comprises a circular ring with a circumference of 66 meters held up by four slanted columns. The base of the founted is located below ground, on the level of the restaurant base of Suntec City. At times, the main fountain is turned off so that visitors can walk around the smaller fountain at the center of the fountain's base, again in adherence to feng shui, for good luck. There is a small laser show at the Fountain of Wealth at night.
