Mohamad Sultan Road, Singapore
Mohamad Sultan Road is a street in the central business district of Singapore. It connects River Valley to the north. On the southern end, it meets the junction with Saiboo St and Martin Rd. The road was offically named in 1898 at a time when the northern bank of Singapore river was experiencing some activity spilled over from the bustling harbour.
Today Mohamad Sultan Road is lined with apartments. Among the streets forming junctions with it include Nanson Rd, Caseen St, Kim Yam Rd, Tong Watt Rd and Unity St. There are some beautiful three-storey Straits Eclectic townhouses near the junction with River Valley. These have been restored, gentrified, and turned into bistros and restaurants.
