Neil Road, Singapore
Neil Road (see map) is a road crossing through the Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar areas of Singapore. Originally called Salat Road (a corruption from Jalan Selat), which means "straits road" in Malay, it was renamed after a British military officer who fought in the 1857 Indian Mutiny.
