Outram Park MRT Station (EW16/NE3), Singapore
Outram Park MRT Station (EW16/NE3) is a subway station on the Singapore MRT East West Line and North East Line. On the East West Line, it is between the Tanjong Pagar MRT Station (EW15) and Tiong Bahru MRT Station (EW17) while on the North East Line, it is between the HarbourFront MRT Station (NE1) and Chinatown MRT Station (NE4).
The Outram Park MRT Station was named after Outram Road, which was in turn named after British General Outram (1803-1863). The station first opened on 12 December 1987 for the East West Line. It became an interchange when the North East Line was built to pass through it, operating from 20 June, 2003. The platforms of the two lines are linked by an underpass.
