Outram Road, Singapore
Outram Road is a major road in the downtown area of Singapore. It comprises two section. The first begins at the intersection with Havelock Road, where it continues from Kim Seng Road. In this section, Outram Road has traffic a single direction southwards. This section ends at the interchange with the Central Expressway (CTE).

The second section of Outram Road, which has traffic in both directions, starts from the interchange with Central Expressway and ends at the interchange with Eu Tong Sen Street and New Bridge Road. From here, Outram Road continues on as Cantonment Road.
Outram Road was named after British war hero, Lieutenant General Sir James Outram (1803-1863), who fought in the Indian Rebellion of 1857. He and another British war hero, Henry Havelock, were the two British generals fighting the Indian Rebellion who were honoured with road names in Singapore.
