On this page, I want to take you to visit all the Places in Singapore. Often we will go outside the usual tourist areas to places where the locals live, so that you have an idea how Singapore looks like beyond the Central Business District. My intention is to leave no place uncovered. It will take some time for me to describe every place in Singapore, so do check back often as this list is updated.

  1. Ang Mo Kio
    Ang Mo Kio is a township in central Singapore.

  2. Ann Siang Hill
    Small hill in the Chinatown of Singapore.

  3. Bedok
    Township on the eastern part of Singapore.

  4. Bishan
    Residential neighbourhood in Central Singapore.

  5. Boat Quay
    Former quay now an entertainment and nightlife precinct of the Financial District.

  6. Boon Lay
    Small housing estate on the western part of Singapore.

  7. Bukit Batok
    Township in central western Singapore.

  8. Bukit Merah
    Name of a place on the southern part of Singapore.

  9. Bukit Timah
    Name of the tallest hill as well as urban planning area in Central Singapore.

  10. Changi
    Name of the place on the easternmost part of Singapore.

  11. Chek Jawa
    Forested cape on the southeastern tip of Pulau Ubin.

  12. Chinatown
    The earliest Chinese settlement in Singapore, and still an enclave with a predominantly Chinese population.

  13. Choa Chu Kang
    Suburb in the western region of Singapore.

  14. Clarke Quay
    Former quay now another nightlife precinct in Singapore.

  15. Empress Place
    Site at the mouth of the Singapore River where the Asian Civilisations Museum is situated.

  16. Esplanade
    Seaside area at Marina Bay.

  17. Financial District
    Area to the south of the Singapore River with the highest concentration of banks and financial institutions in Singapore.

  18. Hougang
    Suburb on the northeastern part of Singapore.

  19. Jurong
    Constituency as well as township on the western part of Singapore.

  20. Kampong Glam
    Muslim settlement since the early part of the 19th century.

  21. Marina Bay
    Man-made bay surrounded by reclaimed land presently undergoing development.

  22. Marina Channel
    Outlet for the water of the Marina Bay to flow into the open sea.

  23. Pasir Ris
    Township on the eastern part of Singapore.

  24. Paya Lebar
    Township in central eastern Singapore where the former civilian airport was located.

  25. Pearl's Hill
    Small hill in the Chinatown part of Singapore.

  26. Punggol
    Township on the northeastern part of Singapore, bordering Sengkang to the south.

  27. Robertson Quay
    Pedestrian promenade along the Singapore River.

  28. Sembawang
    Northernmost district of Singapore.

  29. Sengkang
    Township on the northeastern part of Singapore, between Hougang and Punggol.

  30. Sentosa Island
    Island to the south of Singapore developed as a resort.

  31. Simei
    Township in eastern Singapore between Tampines and Bedok.

  32. Singapore River
    Main river flowing through downtown Singapore.

  33. Tampines
    The largest residential township in Singapore.

  34. Thomson
    Area in central Singapore.

  35. Toa Payoh
    Major public housing estate in central Singapore.

  36. Tuas Peninsula
    Peninsula on reclaimed land on the westernmost extension of Singapore.

  37. Woodlands
    Northernmost township of Singapore, to the west of Sembawang.

  38. Yishun
    Township on the northern part of Singapore.

  1. Geylang River
    River flowing into the Kallang Basin from the east.

  2. Kallang Basin
    Major river basin on the southern part of Singapore.

  3. Kallang River
    Longest river in Singapore.

  4. Rochor Canal
    Longest canal in the southern part of Singapore.

  5. Rochor River
    Canalised river between Rochor Canal and the confluence with Kallang River.
