Pulau Senang (Barn Island), Singapore
Pulau Senang is an island located about 13 kilometers to the south of Singapore. It is also known as Barn Island, and is one of the southernmost major island within Singapore's territory.
Pulau Senang was the site of an experimental penal settlement established in 1960. The penal settlement was closed following a rioting taking place in 1963 that killed three officers including the superintendent, Daniel Dutton.
Today Pulau Senang is used by the Singapore Armed Forces for live ammunition training and is off limits to casual visitors.
