Pulau Tembakul (Kusu Island), Singapore
Pulau Tembakul is one of the islands that form the Southern Islands of Singapore. It is one of a cluster of islands to the southeast of Sentosa Island. The island is popularly known as Kusu Island, and is also often called Tortoise Island, as there is a tortoise sanctuary on it.
Once a burial site for immigrants who died in quarantine, Pulau Tembakul has today been redeveloped as one of the recreational destinations off Singapore. Visitors can take a ferry boat from the Marine South Pier to Kusu Island for the 45-minute ride.
