Republic Plaza, Singapore

Republic Plaza is a skyscraper in Raffles Place, within the Downtown Core nof the Central Business District of Singapore. Completed in 1995 at a height of 280 meters (919 feet) it shares the title of being one of the three tallest buildings in Singapore with OUB Centre and UOB Plaza. Republic Plaza has 66 storeys above ground and 1 basement. It is developed and owned by City Developments Limited, an international property and hotel conglomerate.
Republic Plaza occupies the block along Cecil Street, with its main entrance at D'Almeida Street. It was designed by Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa. The tower tapers as it rises, allowing it to withstand strong winds and helps improve on wind loading. To maintain sea views for the upper floors, its face is turned 45 degrees as it reaches the upper floors.
How to reach Republic Plaza
Take the North South Line or the East West Line of the Singapore MRT to the Raffles Place MRT Station.
