Resorts World Sentosa is an integrated resort that opened on the island of Sentosa in Singapore. Its key attraction is one of the two casinos in Singapore (the other being the Marina Bay Sands). Another key attraction is Universal Studios Singapore, the first Universal Studios theme park in Southeast Asia.

Resorts World Sentosa is developed and managed by Genting Singapore at the cost of S$6.59 billion. It will occupy 49 hectares of Sentosa Island when fully completed, employing a workforce of 10,000.

The casino at Resorts World Sentosa is located beneath Crockfords Tower, an 11-storey all-suite hotel that opened on 20 January, 2010. A regulation is in place limiting the size of the casino to a maximum of 15,000 square meters. There is also a Government regulation requiring any Singapore citizen wishing to enter the casino to purchase a $100 day pass or $2000 yearly membership, allowing for entry into only one casino. The money collected will be funneled into charitable causes.

Apart from the casino, Resorts World Sentosa has other attractions including live performances, water park, spa, maritime museum and the world's largest oceanarium which at time of writing (July 2010) is still in various stages of construction.

How to reach Resorts World Sentosa

Take the North East Line of the Singapore MRT to HarbourFront MRT Station. Connect to VivoCity, and take the Sentosa Express monorail at Level 3. An all-day ticket, inclusive of admission fee to Sentosa Island, costs $3.00, payable using the EZ-Link card.
