Sculpture Square at 155 Middle Road, Singapore, is a centre for contemporary three-dimensional art, by artists from Singapore and Southeast Asia. It is housed in the former Christian Institute building, which once housed the Middle Road Methodist Church.
The Christian Institute building was built between 1870 and 1875. Its trustee, Charles Philips, allowed the Methodists to use it from 1885 until it was formally transferred to the Methodists in 1892. In 1894, it became the first Straits Chinese Methodist Church in Singapore, under the name Baba Church, and was used by the church until 1929, when it constructed a bigger building and moved to Kampung Kapor, where it is now known as the Kampong Kapor Methodist Church. The Christian Institute housed the Methodist Girls' School until 1900.
