Let's go and explore the streets of Singapore! There's so much to learn about Singapore just from walking the streets. Not only can you enjoy the sights where the cultures and traditions of Asia meets modern, Western architecture, the very name of Singapore streets tells stories of the countries colourful past.

Today many people walking the streets of Singapore do not give a second thought over how those streets got their names, how the place was like a hundred years ago or more. So I feel it is a wonderful experience to take you now on a walk through Singapore streets, explaining as we go, the name of the streets, its location and its background.

As I am doing this online, to a readership that is deskbound and probably thousands of miles from Singapore, I will try to use Google Map and Street Views to bring you upclose to the streets which I describe. If you happen to be in Singapore, I hope you can find the street near your hotel and my description below helps you get to know it better!

I wish you a most pleasant and wonderful experience as together we walk the Streets of Singapore online!

Savage and Brenda S.A. Yeoh (Eastern Universities Press by Marshall Cavendish, ISBN 981 210 364 3). It helped me a lot in broadening my knowledge of the streets.
