Tiong Bahru Road Tiong Bahru Road is a major road in Singapore. It is the main road through the Tiong Bahru Estate, which is the oldest housing estate in the island nation, built in the 1930's to 50's.

Tiong Bahru Road starts at Outram Road, where it forks into two branches. From there, it heads is a westerly direction, to end at Tanglin Road. Along the way, it forms three intersections, one with Seng Poh Road, one with Lower Delta Road, and one with Henderson Road. It also forms junctions with Kim Pong Road, Kim Tian Road, Jalan Membina, Redhill Close, Jalan Tiong and Leng Kee Road to the south, and with Bukit Ho Swee Link, Boon Tiong Road Link and Zion Road to the north.

Tiong Bahru Road got its name from Tiong Bahru, which means "new cemetery". The name comes from tiong for "cemetery" in Chinese, and bahru for "new" in Malay.

The old Singapore Improvement Trust flats built in the 1930's to 50's can still be seen today, although dwarfed by taller high-rises now. The area is served by the Tiong Bahru MRT Station (EW17) of the East West Line.
