 Amulet Market, Bangkok
The Amulet Market is a roadside market located along Thanon Maharat behind Wat Mahathat. This is where vendors sell all types of amulets. Most Thais are quite superstitious, and the majority is likely to carry or wear at least one amulet to ward off evil.
There are of course many amulet markets in Thailand, especially near Buddhist Temples. Another important one is at Wat Ratchanatdaram. However the one over here is the biggest in Thailand. Don't expect proper shots. The majority of the vendors sell by displaying their wares on the sidewalk.
Getting there
Amulet Market is located along Thanon Maharat, near the Chao Phraya River. The easiest way to reach this part of Bangkok is by taxi. Otherwise, you can also take the BTS Skytrain to the Saphan Taksin Station (S6)) and then catch a ferryboat to Chang Pier (N9), then walk out to Maharat Road where the market is located.
