Ao Bang Thao is a bay in Central Western Phuket. It forms a crescent-shaped curve facing north. It stretches for 6 km before continuing as Ao Lephang. The coastline of Ao Bang Thao has a number of resorts, among them Andaman Bang-Tao Bay Resort, Bangtao Beach Chalet, Bangtao Beach Resort & Spa, Bangtao Village Resort and Rydges Amora Beach Resort.
