Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) is one of the two international airports serving Bangkok. Formerly spelled Don Muang, it served as the old Bangkok International Airport until the opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport on 28 September, 2006.
After a few months of closure, Don Mueang reopened on 24 March, 2007 for non-connecting domestic commercial flights. As such, despite having "international" to its name, Don Mueang is actually a domestic airport today. Only two local airlines use it - Nok Air and Orient Thai Airlines. Today Don Mueang is also jointly used by the Royal Thai Air Force as a military base.

Going to Don Mueang International Airport
Don Mueang Airport is located about 30km to the north of downtown Bangkok. You can easily take a taxi to go there.The cheapest option to reach the airport is by taking a train from Hualamphong Railway Station to the Don Muang Train Station. However you will be sharing your ride on a local commuter train.
