Pattaya Floating Market is the biggest man-made floating market in the world. Unlike the traditional Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, the Pattaya Floating Market is entirely created for tourism, and not the result of rural needs.
The Pattaya Floating Market covers an area of 100,000 square meters. The Pattaya Floating Market comprises clusters of teak buildings built in the traditional Thai architectural style. The structures are grouped into four parts representing the four main regions of Thailand, namely Northern Region, Central Region, Northeastern Region and Southern Region. Connecting the various buildings is a network of bridges and canals.

The different buildings at the Pattaya Floating Market are occupied by shops and retail outlets selling mainly traditional Thai handicrafts such as wood carvings, silk and cloth, as well as herbal products and souvenirs. Also within the floating market is the Nueng Siam Woodcarving Museum, which showcases exquisite examples of carved teak, including 200-year-old pieces.
As the visitors make their way through the Pattaya Floating Market, they get to enjoy a variety of traditional Thai fare, sold by vendors in paddle boats. They shuffle from dock to dock, giving an kaleidoscopic sample of Thai cuisine.
