Phahurat Market is a market within the Little India of Bangkok. What is the more fascinating is that Bangkok's Little India is within Bangkok's Chinatown, or rather on its western fringe.

The Phahurat Market was named after Phahurat Road through which it is located. A visit to this market is like a walk through Mumbai. You will hear the sound of Indian music in the stereo while smell the different spices in the streets. There are stalls selling fabric, saris, table cloths, curtains, in the brightest of colours.

There are jewellery stores as well as costume jewellery stalls displaying bright and shinny bangles, and Indian restaurants with their naan and samosas.

How to reach Phahurat Market

Either take a taxi direct or take the Bangkok Metro subway to the Hualamphung subway station and then walk from there.
