Phra Uposatha is the main chapel, also called bot or ubosot, of Wat Pho. It was built during the reign of King Rama 1 and is in the Ayutthaya style. King Rama III rebuilt the Phra Uposatha and enlarged it. The doors and windows are made of hard wood and colour-glazed tiles. On the outside of the entrance door are depictions of the Ramakien, created using mother-of-pearl.
