Si Racha Travel Guide, Thailand

Si Racha is a town and subdistrict in Chonburi Province, Thailand, on the eastern coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Also written as Sri Racha, it covers 4 sq km (1.6 sq mi) and has a population of around 19,500 people (2012 estimate). The town is famous as the site of the Sriracha Tiger Zoo and White Dragon King Temple. Other than that, it is just another nondescript Thai town.
The town of Si Racha dates to 1945, when it was formed as a subdistrict municipality. It was elevated to town status in 1995.

Visiting Si Racha
Si Racha is on the way from Bangkok to Pattaya. The most straightforward (but not necessarily the fastest) way is to head east on Sukhumvit Road (Highway 3) until you arrive in Si Racha. Alternatively, take the No. 7 motorway until the interchange with Sukhumvit Road. Then head north on Sukhumvit Road till you reach Si Racha.
