Surin Beach is also known as Hat Surin Yai, or "Big Surin Beach", as Pansea Beach is also called Hat Surin Noi (Small Surin Beach). The latter became popularly known as Pansea Beach after a now defunct resort by that name was built in the area.
Surin Beach is popular among the locals, particularly the folks from Phuket Town coming over for some recreation. There are four luxury resorts in this area namely Amanpuri, Chedi Phuket, Manathai and Tree Tops Arasia. To check and compare room rates, click here.
