Tha Chin River, Samut Sakhon
Tha Chin River is a distributary of the Chao Phraya River in central Thailand. It starts near the town of Chainat and begin its journey towards the Gulf of Thailand, to the west of the Chao Phraya.
The Tha Chin River has its estuary at Samut Sakhon. The name Tha Chin usually refers to the Samut Sakhon section of the river. At Chainat, it is known as the Makham Thao River. When it passes through Suphan Buri, it is known as the Suphan River. When it reaches Nakhon Pathom, it is called the Nakhon Chai Si river. However, the conventional choice when discussing the river in its entirety is the name Tat Chin River.
