Wat Nang Sao is an old temple in Tha Mai subdistrict, Krathum Baen district, Samut Sakhon, Thailand. Wat Nang Sao is located near the Tha Chin River. It goes back to the Ayutthaya period.

According two legend, two sisters sought refuge in the ordination hall of the temple during the war that erupted between Siam and Burma. At that time, the temple was in a dilapidated state. The sisters made a vow that if they survived the war, they would restore the temple.

Following the victory of the Siamese, the elder sister decided that the temple was too run down to restore, and wanted to build a new one. However the younger sister kept her vow and restored the temple, which she called Wat Phrommachari. It was later renamed Wat Nong Sao, and later corrupted to Wat Nang Sao.
