Wat Nong Jed Lin Travel Info
Wat Nong Jed Lin is a small Buddhist temple in the Chiang Mai Old City. I came across it when I was old city on foot with members of AsiaExplorers. There wasn't much information available about this old temple. It was mentioned in the 15th century in the Niras Hariphunchai document.
There was a pond nearby which probably gave it the name "Nong Jed Lin". An important discovery is the base of an audience hall with a large Buddha statue of bricks and stucco. The chedi probably also dated from the 15th Century.
