Wat Sum Pow

Wat Sum Pow, also written Wat Sam Pao, Wat Sampao, is a Buddhist temple located on Ratchadamnoen Road, the main road in the old town of Chiang Mai. Wat Sum Pow is located on the opposite side of the road from Wat Phan On.

What to see

In front of the viharn is a pair of Burmese-style lions, or chinthe, a style which is much more common in Chiang Mai than in Bangkok.

Getting there

Wat Sum Pow is located on the north side of Ratchadamnoen Road, at the junction with Ratchaphakinai Road, west of Tha Phae Gate.
