Wat Yansangwararam, Chanthaburi
Wat Yansangwararam is a Thai Buddhist temple in Chonburi, Thailand. It is located about 12 km to the south of Pattaya. The temple, which comes under the patronage of the King of Thailand, is laid out in a spacious 147-acre park with several pavilions and shrines in various styles.
Within the grounds of Wat Yansangwararam is a meditation center where classes are held. This is where visitors can learn meditation. Also within the temple complex is a school and a hospital.
There is a stylized Buddha footprint housed within a Khmer-style mandapa. There is also a 40-meter tall chedi encasing relics of the Buddha and his disciples.
As this is a temple of royal patronage, visitors are reminded to dress conservatively - specifically they should ensure their shoulders are covered.
