UNESCO World Heritage Sites  Fighting Cock Island (Ga Choi Island), Halong Bay, Vietnam

World / Asia / Vietnam / Halong Bay

Fighting Cock Island, or Ga Choi Island, is a pair of limestone islet in Halong Bay. We passed it on our way to Bo Hon Island and Sung Sot Cave. Rather than fighting cocks, the limestone formation looked more like a pair of chicken about to kiss.

The Fighting Cock Island comprises a pair of stone islets.

Smack - don't they look like two chicks kissing?

Going to Fighting Cock Island

Fighting Cock Island is located right in the middle of Halong Bay. To ensure that you don't miss it, mention it to your boatman - it's called Ga Choi in Vietnamese - and ask him to point it out to you. You can easily book a tour of Halong Bay from any travel agencies in Hanoi.
