Hoa Phuong is a small, standalone tower on the east bank of Ho Hoan Kiem in Hanoi, Vietnam. It marks the entrance of the former Bao An Pagoda complex which was demolished by the French in the 1890s when they recontructed the city. You would easily pass through the Hoa Phuong if you are walking around the lake, as I did a few times, during my stay in Hanoi. I decided to document it as one of the sights Hanoi for AsiaExplorers.
Beware when you walk around the Ho Hoan Kiem as there are pickpockets. My partner Chooi Yoke's wallet was nearly picked when we were walking near the Hoa Phuong. Luckily she realised it before the thief managed to run away with her wallet.
Hoa Phuong.
How to go to Hoa Phuong
Hoa Phuong, the Sunbeam Bridge, links the east bank of Ho Hoan Kiem, the Lake of the Returned Sword, to the Ngoc Son temple. You can easily locate it once you reach the lake.
