Nha Tuong Niem Liet Si Heritage House is one of those places in Hanoi which I discovered by accident. I was walking along Hang Quat Street, in the Old Quarters of Hanoi, when I came across it. At the time, I do not know what this house is about, and got its name simply by transcribing the words off the plaque above the entrance, Nha Tuong Niem Liet Si.

Coming back, I did a bit of research, and found out that Nha Tuong Niem Liet Si is a heritage house to honour Vietnamese soldiers. For now, that's all that I know. Peering through the wooden panels from the outside, I do see a marble slab with what looks like the names of fallen soldiers. This must be a Vietnamese cenotaph.

How to go to Nha Tuong Niem Liet Si Heritage House

Nha Tuong Niem Liet Si Heritage House is located on Hang Quat Street, in the Old Quarters of Hanoi. From the north bank of the Ho Hoan Kiem, take Luong Van Gan Street (the street on the left side of the Hanoi Fountain). The second street on your left is Hang Quat. Nha Tuong Niem Liet Si is a short distance down the street, on the right.
