Noi Bai International Airport, in Soc Son District, is the principal airport serving the city of Hanoi, Vietnam. It is located about 35 km north of Hanoi.

You can take a taxi from the airport to the city centre. Vietnam Airlines also operates a shuttle bus to their Hanoi office. It costs US$4 to take the shuttle bus. You can get your hotel/guesthouse to arrange your transport for you. The hotel I stayed in did this for me, when I arrived with a small group of AsiaExplorers members, so we did not have to go through the hassle of finding our own way to our hotel.

How to go to Noi Bai International Airport from Hanoi

The best is to get your hotel to arrange the taxi for you. That was what I did, and it was cheap as well as trouble-free. Of the two times I hailed a taxi myself, one of the times the experience was not entirely pleasant (I still felt that I may have been swindled by a dishonest taxi driver whose meter is not accurate.) In future, when in Hanoi, I will rely on my hotel to get me my taxi.
