Quảng Ngã is a coastal city in central Vietnam. It is the provincial capital of the eponymous province located almost equidistance between the northernmost and southernmost points of the country. The city covers 37.12 sq km and has a population of 120,000 people (2011 estimate).

Quảng Ngã has an economy based on primary industries. Being off the beaten path, it receives few foreign visitors. Nonetheless intrepid visitors will find in Quảng Ngã a number of unspoilt beaches. Other than that, there isn't much to see in Quảng Ngã. Those who do stop by here are usually resting from their long journey between the north and south of the country.

Quảng Ngã is near Son My, the site of the horrific My Lai Massacre, perpetrated by US army soldiers killing between 347 to 504 unarmed civilians, mostly women, children and the elderly. The massacre is instrumental in increasing domestic opposition to US involvement in the Vietnam War.
